Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how the TikManager desktop application and this informational website handle information when a user connects an authorized account, selects content, prepares scheduling information, or reviews publishing status.
TikManager is an independent desktop application. It is not TikTok and is not affiliated with TikTok. This website does not require a user account and the current distributed website files do not include advertising or analytics scripts.
Information involved in the application workflow
Depending on the features a user chooses, TikManager may process the following categories of information:
- Account authorization identifiers, including identifiers associated with an authorized account connection.
- Basic authorized profile information, such as display name, profile identifier, username, or avatar information returned for the connected profile.
- Authorization credentials, including access and refresh tokens and their expiration information. These credentials are sensitive and must not be shared publicly.
- Selected media and file information, including local file paths and managed local copies of content the user chooses to prepare.
- Publication content, including captions and other user-selected publishing settings.
- Scheduling information, including a selected future publication date, time, queue status, and related timestamps.
- Technical logs and errors, such as local application errors, API result information, publishing state, and limited webhook diagnostics.
TikManager processes these categories only as relevant to the functionality selected by the user. The application should not be used to place credentials or other sensitive information in captions, filenames, or public support messages.
How information is used
Information may be used to:
- complete and maintain an account authorization requested by the user;
- identify an authorized profile inside the desktop workspace;
- prepare and manage selected content in the local queue;
- record publication dates, times, captions, and user-selected settings;
- submit content and necessary settings when a user uses supported TikTok publishing functionality;
- monitor and display publishing workflow or API status;
- maintain authenticated sessions through the supported OAuth token lifecycle; and
- diagnose errors, protect the webhook endpoint, and troubleshoot application behavior.
TikManager does not use the user's TikTok password because the application does not request it.
OAuth authorization and TikTok
When the user chooses TikTok functionality, TikManager uses the supported OAuth authorization process and requests permissions associated with the selected features. The user should review the permissions shown during authorization and connect only an account they have the right to manage.
Use of TikTok features necessarily involves communication with TikTok. Necessary authorization data, basic profile requests, selected content, captions, creator or privacy settings, publishing requests, and status requests may be transmitted to TikTok when required for the action initiated by the user. TikTok handles that information under its own terms, developer requirements, and privacy practices.
Authorization credentials must be treated as confidential. Users should not publish tokens, include them in support requests, or place them in publicly accessible files.
User-selected content
TikManager processes media only when the user selects it for a product workflow. A managed local copy may be created in the TikManager content directory so the queue does not rely on the original source file. The original source file remains under the user's control.
When the user initiates or schedules a supported publishing action, the selected content and necessary publication settings may be transmitted to TikTok. The user is responsible for confirming that they have the rights and permissions required for the selected content.
Local storage and retention
TikManager is designed as a desktop application. Application records, account connection information, scheduling details, and managed content may be stored in the user's local desktop environment. Local access depends on the security of the user's computer and operating-system account.
Information should be retained only for as long as needed for application functionality, user-requested publishing workflows, troubleshooting, or applicable obligations. The user can remove scheduled items, managed local content, or a connected local profile through available application controls. Removing a local record does not automatically remove information already transmitted to a third-party platform.
The public webhook endpoint stores only limited diagnostics when writable storage is available: UTC time, HTTP method, signature-verification status, and a limited event type or event identifier when safely available. It does not intentionally log authorization headers, tokens, client secrets, cookies, or complete event payloads.
Security practices
Reasonable measures should be used to protect locally stored application data and authorization credentials. These include limiting public exposure, using HTTPS for the website and webhook, restricting access to diagnostic storage, validating webhook signatures when the client secret is configured, and keeping the operating system protected.
No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for securing their computer, hosting account, and any environment variables configured on the website host.
Your choices and controls
Users can choose whether to connect an account, which content to select, what caption and schedule to enter, and whether to remove locally stored queue items. Users can disconnect or delete locally stored account information using available application controls and may revoke platform authorization through the applicable TikTok account settings where available.
Do not delete an original content file unless you intend to do so. TikManager's managed-file removal is designed to target only files inside its managed content directory.
Children's privacy
TikManager is not directed to children and is intended for users who are permitted to manage the connected accounts and content. Users must comply with the age and eligibility requirements of TikTok and any other applicable platform.
Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated as TikManager functionality or legal requirements change. The revision date at the top of the page identifies the current published version. Material product changes should be reflected in this Policy before the affected functionality is made available.
